The Stroud A.H.& I. Association now the Stroud Show Association Inc – began its life in 1921 to promote and display the produce of the rich Karuah Valley.

Every year since then and traditionally on the weekend after Easter the Association has held an Agricultural Show except four war years and three complete washouts in the 1990’s.

The 2026 Stroud Show is set to bring a whirlwind of family fun to the region from Saturday, April 18th to Sunday, April 19th.

This three-day event celebrates country life, showcasing agriculture, horse and split post competitions, and various eccentric contests, along with products and produce from the Stroud Valley and beyond.

Get ready for an unforgettable weekend as the Stroud Show returns in 2026, bringing together the best of rural traditions, thrilling entertainment, and family-friendly fun. With around 5,000 visitors expected over two action-packed days, this iconic event is the heart of our community, showcasing the spirit of Stroud and its vibrant culture.

Returning for its 8th year, the crowd favourite wife carrying contest is guaranteed to deliver laughter and entertainment. In this hilarious event, husbands, boyfriends, and brothers will race through 80 metres of sand, hay, and paddling pools, with the champion couple walking away with $250 in prize money!

• The Usual Suspects: Don’t miss the crowd favourites, the adrenaline-pumping Smash Up Derby, the thrilling bull ride, and the hilarious wife carrying competition. Plus, end your Saturday with a bang as our spectacular fireworks display lights up the night sky!

• Equestrian Excellence: Saddle up for our horse program, featuring ring events, show jumping, and the exciting Six Bar Show Jumping competition.
